Dorogobuzh to Invest RUB 150 million in Social and Economic Development Projects in Dorogobuzh District

Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) signed a cooperation agreement with the regional administration during a working visit of Acron Group’s top managers to Smolensk region. Governor of Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin, Acron Vice President Vladimir Kantor, Acron CEO Vladimir Kunitsky, and Chairman of Acron Board of Directors Alexander Popov attended the signing ceremony.

Under the agreement, the Company will invest RUB 150 million between 2024 and 2026 to promote the welfare of residents in Dorogobuzh district, Smolensk region.

The regional authorities will use the funds to address pressing healthcare issues, improve the quality of education, develop road and transport infrastructure, upgrade existing and build new sports facilities, develop utilities, support cultural institutions, and create comfortable living conditions for Dorogobuzh district residents. The agreement also provides for the sharing of information to develop measures to improve the quality of life and sets the stage for bilateral consultations and experience exchange.

Vasily Anokhin praised Dorogobuzh as a socially responsible company and the region’s long-standing, reliable partner that invests in social projects. ‘I would like to thank the management team of the Company and Acron Group for their active support of educational and healthcare institutions in Dorogobuzh district’.

Vladimir Kantor said, ‘Dorogobuzh and Smolensk region have a long history of success in implementing social projects. Each year, the Company invests in social and economic development of the region, allocating funds to upgrade social facilities. Dorogobuzh will continue supporting important and much-needed projects in the region for the benefit of local residents’.
