Acron Sponsors Restoration at Novgorod Museum Complex

Veliky Novgorod-based Acron donated RUB 10 million to the Novgorod Museum Complex to purchase and cast a set of bells for the belfry at Saint Nicholas Cathedral in Yaroslav’s Court and to repair the facades of the Clock Tower and Saint Sergius of Radonezh Church in the Novgorod Kremlin.

Alexander Popov, Chairman of Acron’s Board of Directors, highlighted the Company’s long-standing commitment to supporting socially significant projects in Veliky Novgorod region. ‘I am confident that by contributing to the development of the Museum Complex, we help preserve its unique architectural monuments and create new travel destinations, making the region more attractive to tourists’.

The Novgorod Museum Complex is one of the largest and oldest museums in Russia with more than thirty sites in Veliky Novgorod and about fifty museums, architectural monuments, and art galleries in Veliky Novgorod region.

In 2021, Acron donated cars to the Museum Complex for guided sightseeing tours and purchased the TRACER portable x-ray fluorescence spectrometer for the Museum Complex’s Murals Restoration Centre to support the study and restoration of frescoes. In 2022, the Company sponsored archaeological research at the construction site of the National Historical and Archaeological Centre named after Valentin Yanin at the Troitsky archaeological excavation site.

In 2022, Acron invested RUB 459 million in social and economic development projects in Veliky Novgorod region, up 57% year-on-year.
