This summer, over 700 children between the ages of 7 and 16 attended Acron’s Raduga Recreation Centre over four sessions. The Company’s Aurora Recreation Camp was attended by close to 1,000 children and their parents and grandparents over nine sessions.
According to Acron’s Directorate for Social Affairs, the fee for the Raduga Recreation Centre retreat is RUB 36,000, but employees only have to pay 20 % of the original price, or just RUB 7,200. A session at the Aurora Recreation Camp costs RUB 17,100, but Acron’s employees pay only 30%, or RUB 5,100.
Every year, employees of the Novgorod-based chemical plant receive spa treatments at health and wellness facilities in the Caucasus, Belarus, Moscow Region, Karelia, and other locations. In 2019, approximately 300 Acron employees received spa vouchers, and the Company covered up to 90% of their cost. Hundreds of employees have benefited from a wide variety of health promotion and preventative services at Aсron’s Wellbeing & Prevention Retreat.
Raduga Recreation Centre, founded by the Company in 1971, is located in Valdai National Park, Novgorod Region, on the shore of Beloye Lake. The camp’s territory includes several state-protected barrows that were built by pre-Christian Slavs. Each session has its own focused theme. During the career-oriented session, the recreation centre offers courses in journalism, photography, tourism, cheerleading, rugby, frisbee and carving. The Company finances a training programme for camp counsellors to ensure that the teaching staff working with campers has access to the best training. The facilities at Raduga, the largest recreation camp for children in Novgorod Region, are continually upgraded, and its sessions are popular.
Aurora Recreation Camp is located on the banks of the Msta River, 40 km from Veliky Novgorod. Throughout the summer, professional counsellors work with campers leading sports, art, vocal and dance activities. Mini Dorm Olympics and military sports games are held weekly. The team from the Jewish Centre’s equestrian programme holds demonstrations and horseback riding for children. The Centre also hosts Acron’s Versty, a series of races with competitors from around the country. Aurora’s existing dorms have been replaced by comfortable and modern cottages designed by Acron’s specialists. The recreation facility welcomes campers all year round. Acron teams also hold professional and corporate events at Aurora.
