Court Affirms Acron’s Right to Long-Term Contract with Silvinit

The Moscow Arbitrazh Court satisfied Acron’s claim and forced JSC Silvinit to sign a contract to supply Acron with potassium chloride on terms drafted by Acron. In March, the Arbitrazh Court issued the same ruling on Dorogobuzh’s claim.

The draft five-year contract includes a pricing formula that changes the annual price for potassium chloride subject to the Russian industrial PPI for the previous year. Under the contract, Silvinit will supply Acron with 315,000 tpa of potassium chloride.

Commenting on the court’s award, Chairman of the Board of Directors Alexander Popov said:

“The Arbitrazh Court issued a consistent and expected ruling, which again justifies the claims of independent companies against the way Silvinit treats its customers when it avoids or refuses to contract for potassium chloride supplies without reasonable economic or technological arguments.”
