NWPC Signs Agreement on Social and Economic Cooperation with Murmansk Region Administration

On October 8 Acron President Ivan Antonov and North-Western Phosphorous Company (NWPC) CEO Director General Fedorov met with regional governor Yuri Yevdokimov at the offices of the Murmansk Region administration to sign an “Agreement on Social and Economic Partnership, Communication and Cooperation between the Murmansk Region administration and NWPC for 2008-2013.”
According to the governor, the main aim of the Agreement is to speed up commissioning of the new apatite-nepheline ore mining and processing facility at the Oleniy Ruchey deposit. NWPC plans to break ground on the mine at the end of this year.
The arrival of a new enterprise in the region will help increase local tax revenues and have a positive impact on the region’s social and economic development.
