Dorogobuzh recognised for significant social contribution

The Smolensk region administration has awarded the winners of the regional stage of the national competition Socially Responsible Russian Companies 2024.

For the third consecutive year, Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) has won first prize for its social investments and charitable initiatives that contribute to regional development.

Aleksey Streltsov, Deputy Chair of the Smolensk region administration, presented Roman Dmitriev, Executive Director of Dorogobuzh, with a commemorative badge and a certificate of recognition to mark the Company’s great progress in addressing social issues and its victory in the regional stage of the competition.

The Smolensk region Governor sent a letter of recognition to Vyacheslav Mikhailov, head of Dorogobuzh’s procurement department, for his dedication, professionalism and outstanding performance at the competition.

In 2024, Dorogobuzh spent RUB 187 million on charity and social and economic development of Smolensk region. This year, the Company has allocated over RUB 440 million to local social initiatives, including overhauling the Dorogobuzh Central District Hospital, upgrading the Verkhnedneprovsky Technological College, repairing a sports and recreation centre in Verkhnedneprovsky, inaugurating a public garden to mark Dorogobuzh’s 60th anniversary and implementing a large-scale renovation project at the Lastochka recreation centre.

Konstantin Serenkov, head of the Dorogobuzh municipal district, commented on the awards, ‘Dorogobuzh is committed to the principles of social responsibility, investing in the district’s development. The Company has implemented a wide range of social projects aimed at enhancing quality of life for local residents’.
