The summer season has come to a close at Acron’s recreation centres. Over 900 children aged 7 to 16 have attended the Raduga camp during five sessions this summer, while almost 1,000 Acron employees and their children aged 3 to 17 visited the Aurora leisure centre in nine sessions as part of the Mother and Child programme.
Providing summer vacation opportunities for children is an element of Acron’s social policy. Traditionally, Acron covers up to 80% of the holiday packages cost for its employees under the collective agreement. According to Acron’s Social Affairs Department, this year’s prices are RUB 55,000 for a session at Raduga and RUB 25,200 for a nine-day Mother and Child programme, but employees pay only 20%, or RUB 11,000, and 30%, or RUB 7,560, respectively.
Olga Babina, Acron’s acting deputy executive director for personnel and social affairs, said: ‘It is important to us that our employees feel socially protected. It is not just hollow words. Acron is developing social programmes to help our employees recharge their batteries, stay healthy and access top-quality medical care. Every year, we invest tens of millions of roubles in our medical and recreation centres and health resorts. By doing this, we not only care for the present, but also implement our strategy for the future. We believe that only people who are strong and full of energy can achieve new heights and accomplish the company’s most ambitious goals’.
Raduga is located in the Valdai National Park, on the shore of Lake Beloye. Spanning 16 hectares, it is the largest summer camp for children in the region. This year marks the camp’s 54th season. Aurora is situated on the banks of the Msta River, 40 km from Veliky Novgorod, and is open all year round. Acron regularly upgrades Aurora’s infrastructure, and provides activity coordinators specialising in sports, arts, singing and dancing to work with the children in the summer.
