Acron increases investments in social and economic development of its footprint regions by 10%

In 2024, Acron Group allocated RUB 859 million (USD 10.5 million) to social and economic projects and charitable initiatives in the regions where it operates, increasing spending by 10%.

The Group invested RUB 515 million in developing the local infrastructure, with a particular focus on healthcare, education, arts, culture and sports. Its companies initiated a variety of social and charitable programmes for a total of RUB 344 million to support public organisations, institutions of social importance and local communities.

To promote educational projects in Veliky Novgorod, Acron continued cooperation with the Leading Engineering School, including preparing young engineers for work at the Company’s plant. In collaboration with the Yaroslav-the-Wise Novgorod State University, the Company signed a contract to build a university campus for scientists. It also sponsors repairs at the Novgorod Chemical-Industrial College and equipped its classrooms with modern hardware.

As part of a social partnership, Dorogobuzh allocated funds to repair children’s educational institutions in the city of Dorogobuzh and Dorogobuzh district in Smolensk region.

North-Western Phosphorous Company supported educational projects by commissioning an IT laboratory for students at the Murmansk Arctic University, and purchasing equipment for the technology room at School No. 7 in Apatity.

The Group invested a total of RUB 281 million in educational projects, double the amount spent the previous year.

Acron Group also implements infrastructure projects. In 2024, Acron opened a five-star hotel in Veliky Novgorod, Acron Hotel Veliky Novgorod (a member of Radisson Individuals), which meets the highest global standards. Investments in the project exceeded RUB 2 billion.

In 2024, Dorogobuzh signed a concession agreement with the Dorogobuzh District Municipality of the Smolensk Region to restore a sports and recreation complex in Verkhnedneprovsky settlement.

Healthcare is another key area for the Group. In the reporting year, Acron provided financial assistance to the regional children’s hospital, allocating funds for major repairs of the inpatient clinic and equipping the hospital with medical equipment. Dorogobuzh purchased medical equipment and renovated the infectious diseases, surgical and intensive care wards of the Dorogobuzh Central District Hospital, donating RUB 152 million for healthcare projects.

In 2024, DobroAcron, a corporate volunteer movement comprising current and former Acron employees in Veliky Novgorod, continued its long-time initiative to locate the remains of unburied World War II soldiers.

Acron Group’s social projects have been recognised at regional and federal levels. In 2024, Dorogobuzh once again won first prize at the regional round of the national Socially Responsible Russian Companies competition for its social investments and charitable programmes that contribute to regional development.
