Several social facilities that were upgraded with financing from Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) were opened today in Dorogobuzh district, Smolensk region. The company has invested a total of over RUB 440 million in social projects in the district this year.
New surgical and intensive care wards, complete with an operating room, and a helipad for medical aviation were commissioned at the Dorogobuzh Central District Hospital (CDH). The company has spent a total of RUB 122 million on overhauling the hospital and purchasing equipment.
Renovation is currently underway on the remaining floors of the hospital. Dorogobuzh is financing the upgrades to the reception area, as well as the radiology, neurology, obstetrics and gynaecology, and therapy wards.
Dorogobuzh’s CEO Vladimir Kunitsky and the Governor of Smolensk region Vasily Anokhin signed a social partnership framework agreement at the CDH site. It includes the renovation of the children’s ward at the district hospital for a RUB 20 million.
In 2025, Dorogobuzh, an industrial partner of the Chemical Technologies cluster within the Professionalitet federal project, has invested RUB 88 million in the upgrades to the Verkhnedneprovsky Technological College (VTC). These funds were used to overhaul and equip classrooms, the school gym, laboratories and vocational workshops, as well as for landscaping and building a basketball court.
Dorogobuzh donated a three-storey building to the VTC to house the new vocational workshops. The company prepared the design and began reconstruction.
More than 470 students, including 125 first-year students, will study in-demand professions at the VTC in the new academic year. Half of the newcomers have signed targeted agreements with Dorogobuzh, the city’s largest employer. These agreements include internships, employment, and workplace integration under the guidance of experienced mentors.
Today, a sports and recreation centre opened its doors to residents of Verkhnedneprovsky settlement. Dorogobuzh invested a total of over RUB 43 million in the renovation of this public sports facility, which included overhaul of the building and its interior, as well as landscaping.
To mark Dorogobuzh’s 60th anniversary, a public garden was inaugurated in the centre of Verkhnedneprovsky. Local residents now have a comfortable public space with footpaths, benches, lamps, gazebos and swings. The company financed the construction of this attraction entirely with its own funds, investing RUB 17 million.
Dorogobuzh is also funding a large-scale renovation project at its Lastochka recreation centre. In 2025 alone, RUB 174 million was spent on new residential buildings, a medical centre and sports facilities. This year, 710 children from various Russian regions enjoyed their summer holiday at the centre.

More importantly, half of the newcomers have already signed targeted agreements with this largest employer in the city’.
