The summer season has started at Acron recreation centres. This year, around 950 children aged 7 to 16 will attend the Raduga camp during five sessions, while more than 1,200 Acron employees and their children aged 3 to 17 will visit the Aurora leisure centre in nine sessions as part of the Mother and Child programme.
Traditionally, Acron covers up to 80% of the cost of holiday packages for its employees under the collective agreement. According to Acron’s Social Affairs Department, this year’s prices are RUB 55,000 for a session at Raduga and RUB 25,200 for the nine-day Mother and Child programme, but employees pay only 20%, or RUB 11,000, and 30%, or RUB 7,560, respectively.
Olga Babina, Acron’s Acting Deputy Executive Director for Personnel and Social Affairs, said, ‘The management of our company has always been keenly focused on healthcare for our employees. Committed to upholding high social standards, we allocate millions of roubles to our medical and recreation centres, as well as to health resort care and preventive treatment. Investing in our employees’ health remains extremely important to us.
Raduga is located in the Valdai National Park, on the shore of Lake Beloye. Spanning 16 hectares, it is the largest summer camp for children in the region. This year marks the camp’s 54th season, with student teachers and counsellors providing guidance. Aurora is situated on the banks of the Msta River, 40 km from Veliky Novgorod, and is open all year round. Acron regularly upgrades Aurora’s infrastructure, and provides activity coordinators specialising in sports, arts, singing and dancing to work with the children in the summer. Aurora also hosts Acron’s Versty, a series of races with competitors from across the country.
