On the eve of Chemist’s Day, the Group’s companies – Acron, Dorogobuzh, NWPC and VPC – held celebrations and presented 459 employees with awards in recognition of their many years of dedicated work and contribution to the Group’s development.
This year, four employees were named Honoured Chemists and nine received certificates of honour from the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade. The work of the Group’s employees was also recognised by regional administrations.
Acron’s and Dorogobuzh’s cultural centres hosted parties on the eve of the holiday. Vladimir Kunitsky, the Group’s CEO, recorded a traditional video address, wishing the employees a happy Chemist’s Day and praising the Group for its performance in the past year.
During the festive week, Acron Group organised sports and cultural events in its footprint regions, attended by around 6,000 people. In Veliky Novgorod, Acron held a junior judo tournament. Its sports centre hosted a team competition to mark the 80th anniversary of the victory in the Great Patriotic War. Various sporting events were also held in Acron’s 45th Anniversary Park. Acron’s equestrian complex hosted regional and district-level dressage championships. In Smolensk region, Dorogobuzh organised its traditional mini-football game for men’s and children’s teams, as well as an open mixed-team volleyball tournament, a women’s fitness marathon, and a swimming race. NWPC’s employees took part in NWPC-Fest, which included combined and basketball relay races and the Ready for Labour and Defence all-around competition.
The Russian band Komnata Kultury performed at Acron’s cultural centre, which also hosted a concert to celebrate Victory Day, a themed event about soldiers’ routines and a competition for regional bakeries. In Dorogobuzh, a large public event featuring concerts, fun activities and sports competitions was held in the square in front of the Company’s cultural centre.
