Plodorodie-Saratov achieves winter wheat yield of over 7.4 tonnes per hectare using Acron fertilisers

Plodorodie-Saratov, a member of Acron Group’s Plodorodie Agribusiness Holding, has reported the results of its 2026 winter wheat harvest in Saratov region. The yield reached 7.41 tonnes per hectare, compared with a regional average of 3.29 tonnes per hectare and a national average of 4.02 tonnes per hectare.

According to the Company’s experts, this strong performance was achieved through the application of Acron’s high-quality fertilisers. Alexander Makarenko, Executive Director of Plodorodie-Saratov said, ‘This year’s harvest demonstrates that we have chosen the right nutrition system. For winter wheat, we used 100 kg per hectare of NPK 16-16-16 and 230 kg per hectare of ammonium nitrate. This resulted in a significant improvement in both yield and quality’.

Acron Group established Plodorodie Agribusiness Holding in 2008 to implement agricultural projects, test the Group’s advanced fertiliser brands and improve their application techniques. Plodorodie comprises four agribusiness companies: Kubris (Krasnodar Krai), Zvyaginki (Orel region), Plodorodie-Lukoyanov (Nizhny Novgorod region) and Plodorodie-Saratov (Saratov region), with total land holdings of 69,000 hectares.

Plodorodie-Saratov owns 28,000 hectares of land and operates two production sites in Petrovsky and Baltaysky districts, where it grows a range of crops, including several wheat varieties, sunflower, flax, soybeans and lentils.
