A long-term social partnership programme between the Smolensk region administration and Dorogobuzh, a member of Acron Group, is underway in Dorogobuzh district.

In 2026, Dorogobuzh, the town’s largest employer, and the regional authorities financed the modernisation of two public facilities. The paediatric ward at the Central District Hospital in Verkhnedneprovsky and Secondary School No. 2 named after Vyacheslav Shashin, a recipient of the Order of Courage, in Dorogobuzh were renovated, refurbished and fitted with new equipment under the agreements signed in 2025 between the Company and the Smolensk region administration.

During their official visit to Dorogobuzh municipal district, Vasily Anokhin, the Governor of Smolensk region, and Vladimir Kantor, Acron’s Vice-President, inspected both facilities.

With 590 pupils, Dorogobuzh Secondary School No. 2 is the district’s largest educational institution The Company’s executives and regional officials inspected the results of an extensive external and internal refurbishment it underwent in 2026. The façade and entrance area were renovated and the roof was replaced. The chemistry and arts and crafts classrooms, as well as recreation areas, were refurbished. The surrounding grounds were landscaped, with new fencing and lighting installed. Work is currently underway in the school sports hall, which will also be repaired and equipped at the Company’s expense. Dorogobuzh has spent RUB 50 million on the project this year.

Vasily Anokhin said, ‘I would like to express our gratitude to Dorogobuzh for this excellent work. This is a tangible result of our collaboration and our shared commitment to creating a comfortable environment for teachers and pupils. Today, we have agreed to join forces to renovate Verkhnedneprovsky Secondary School No. 3 in 2027 to the same high standard. We will continue implementing the partnership programme with Acron Group to improve the quality of life and develop social infrastructure in Dorogobuzh district’.

At Dorogobuzh Central District Hospital, the delegation inspected the paediatric ward, where the first stage of a comprehensive refurbishment had been completed. All patient and staff areas were refurbished using only certified materials, equipment and furniture. Nine new beds were installed and are already in use. All utility systems were replaced, and new fire alarm and CCTV systems were installed. Facilities for patients with disabilities were also provided.

The delegation visited and spoke to the young patients in their rooms, and presented each of them with an art kit from the Company.

By the end of this year, the 25-bed paediatric ward at Dorogobuzh Central District Hospital will be fully operational and will become one of the most technologically advanced medical facilities in the region. The Company’s investment in this project has exceeded RUB 20 million.

‘At Dorogobuzh, we recognise that creating a favourable environment for our employees and their families in the communities where they live is an absolute priority, alongside strong production performance and technological development. That is why we attach the utmost importance to the municipality’s social infrastructure. Given the large number of such projects, we implement them consistently and systematically. It is essential that we work closely with the Smolensk region administration and the Governor, who are actively promoting the development of Dorogobuzh district. In 2026, our cooperation focused primarily on the renovation of the paediatric ward at the Central District Hospital and Secondary School No. 2 in Dorogobuzh. Next year, we will begin upgrading other social facilities’, commented Vladimir Kantor.
