Acron Group, a vertically integrated Russian producer of mineral fertilisers, attended the Field Day organised by Rijk Zwaan, a company specialising in vegetable seed breeding, at the demonstration station of its Russian division in Moscow region.
Vegetable producers and representatives of farming businesses and agricultural companies from across Russia attended the event. A wide range of lettuce and cabbage varieties, as well as tomato, sweet and hot pepper, celery and other vegetable hybrids were on display at the demonstration plots in open fields and plastic greenhouses.
Acron was invited as an expert in mineral plant nutrition and an event partner. Specialists from Acron and Rijk Zwaan jointly developed fertilisation programmes tailored to the needs of crop hybrids at different stages of development.
These programmes featured calcium nitrate produced by Acron under the CALINKA® brand, including Grade A Premium and Grade C with Boron, applied to crops grown both in open fields and in greenhouses. Field Day participants had the opportunity to assess first-hand the quality and growth of crops cultivated using the mineral nutrition programmes developed by Acron.
