Veliky Novgorod-based Acron has won the regional Most Family-Oriented Organisation competition among companies with over 100 employees.
The jury assessed companies’ efforts to meet the standard for corporate support of employees with children, which calls for additional benefits for pregnant women, young families and large families, as well as flexible working hours and assistance with purchasing a home and organising leisure activities for children. Acron has successfully implemented these support programmes.
The company’s key support measures include financial assistance upon marriage and the birth of a child, discounted holidays at the Aurora leisure centre, voluntary health insurance and wellness programmes, as well as a corporate housing scheme. Working parents whose children start the first year of school are granted an additional paid day off. Parents of primary school children are also entitled to a tailored working schedule. Acron holds annual events to celebrate the International Day of Families, Children’s Day and Father’s Day and organises creative workshops, sports tournaments, quizzes and concerts for its employees’ families.
Acron invests heavily in children’s sports facilities, as well as recreation and family leisure activities. By the summer of 2026, the company has renovated a children’s playground at its sports and wellness centre and built four well-appointed family cottages at the Aurora leisure centre.
Oleg Tikhonov, Acron’s Executive Director, said, ‘This award reflects many years of systematic work to support our employees. In recent years, we have significantly increased the range and financial value of our benefits, while maintaining and expanding the support programmes that have proved popular with our employees. We will continue these comprehensive efforts, improving conditions for families and providing additional opportunities for parents and their children’.
The Most Family-Oriented Organisation competition, held by the Ministry of Labour, Family, and Social Policy of Novgorod region, aims to recognise companies that do the most to support families with children and create family-friendly working conditions.
