Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) won the award in the Industrialisation, Innovation and Infrastructure: Social Investments in Operating Regions category of the Best ESG Projects in Russia programme for its Sustainable Regional Development: Creating Better Living Conditions for Local Communities project.
The award ceremony took place as part of the 25th Responsible Business Forum, held in Moscow at the end of June 2025.
A total of 538 applications were received from companies and organisations across various industries to participate in the Best ESG Projects in Russia programme. Following an expert assessment, 67 projects received awards in recognition of the quality of their implementation, practical significance, scalability and potential for long-term impact.
The annual Best ESG Projects in Russia programme recognises outstanding ESG practices. Awards are presented to companies whose projects align with sustainable development criteria.
In 2025, Dorogobuzh invested over RUB 440 million in a range of social projects in Smolensk region. These included the large-scale renovation of the sports complex, the Lastochka recreation centre and the Verkhnedneprovsk Technological College; the opening of a public garden to mark Dorogobuzh’s 60th anniversary; and the construction of new surgical and intensive care wards, an operating theatre and a helipad for air ambulance services at Dorogobuzh’s Central District Hospital.
