Dorogobuzh wins regional stage of federal Socially Responsible Russian Companies competition

The Smolensk region administration has awarded the winners of the regional stage of the national competition Socially Responsible Russian Companies 2023.

For the second year in a row, Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) won first prize for its social investments and charitable initiatives that contribute to regional development.

In 2023, Dorogobuzh spent RUB 66 million on charity and social and economic development of the region.

Dmitry Ivanov, Dorogobuzh’s deputy executive director for personnel and general matters, received a commemorative badge and a certificate of recognition from the governor of Smolensk region for the Company’s high efficiency in addressing social issues and for winning the regional stage of the national Socially Responsible Russian Companies competition.

The governor also sent a letter of recognition to Alexander Shitikov, director of the Lastochka summer camp and Dorogobuzh’s leading specialist in cultural activities, for his dedication, professionalism and outstanding performance at the regional stage of the competition.

‘The winners of the competition have achieved high results in occupational safety and human resources policy, and have demonstrated their commitment to promoting healthy lifestyles among employees, addressing social issues and implementing charity programmes’, said Aleksey Streltsov, deputy chair of the government of Smolensk region.

The Russian Ministry of Labour and Social Protection has been holding the competition since 2000 to recognise the best HR policies and the best practices in improving working conditions, preventing workplace injuries, promoting healthy lifestyles, and investing in the well-being of companies’ footprint regions.

Indeed, by investing in social programmes, the Company strives to create and maintain a favourable social environment and focuses on improving life in Dorogobuzh district and Smolensk region in general’, explained Roman Dmitriev, Executive Director of Dorogobuzh.
