Dorogobuzh donates 1,500 tonnes of prime fertilisers to Smolensk growers

Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) makes annual donations of its products for sowing campaigns to farmers in Smolensk region. In 2024, the Company delivered 1,500 tonnes of mineral fertilisers worth RUB 26 million, including 700 tonnes of ammonium nitrate (AN) and 300 tonnes of NPK for spring sowing and 500 tonnes of NPK for winter sowing to 138 agricultural enterprises. Aditionally, Dorogobuzh extended a 15% discount on AN to the local growers.

Sychevka district (15,900 hectares), Khislavichi district (6,000 hectares), Novodugino district (5,700 hectares), Rudnya district (4,500 hectares), Smolensk district (3,800 hectares), and Monastyrshchina district (3,500 hectares) are the leaders in terms of the area under winter crops. Dorogobuzh has donated most of its products to them.

Vasily Anokhin thanked the Dorogobuzh management for supporting Smolensk farmers. He said that using nitrogen and complex fertilisers would help boost yields in the region.

According to Ministry of Agriculture of Smolensk region, the local growers allocated 72,900 hectares (up 800 hectares year-on-year) for winter crops, including 6,500 hectares (9.3%) for premium seeds in 2024. Wheat and rape are the main winter crops in the region.
