Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) has passed a food safety management audit of its carbon dioxide operations for compliance with the FSSC 22000 international standard. The auditor confirmed the high quality of the products and the competence of the Company’s employees.
This year’s audit was conducted under a more demanding version 6 certification. As a result, many of the local issues covered by the audit were analysed in detail.
The three-day audit, carried out by a Russian representative of the international certification body QSCert, examined the Company’s system documentation, inspected all stages of the carbon dioxide operations and checked the level of training of the personnel.
QSCert senior auditor Gennady Eroshnikov focused on the general sanitary conditions of the production facility, premises and machinery, the integrity of the equipment and the level of modernisation. The auditor thoroughly reviewed operating procedures, checked the competence of the staff and their understanding of existing technological requirements, reviewed records, equipment maintenance and repair reports, and adsorbent change reports. The audit also covered issues such as the reduction of production losses in the carbon dioxide operations and quality assurance. The auditor visited the ammonia facility’s technology and finished product quality control laboratory and found the team to be highly professional.
The audit confirmed the top level of Dorogobuzh’s carbon dioxide operations under the current assessment system and the quality of its products, which comply with the international FSSC 22000 standard. The Company’s food safety management system was also rated highly.
Elena Potkalova, head of Dorogobuzh’s quality control and technology research centre, noted that the successful audit, which was conducted under stricter legal requirements, proves Dorogobuzh’s status as a reliable carbon dioxide supplier. ‘Our carbon dioxide remains one of the purest and highest quality products on the Russian market’.
