Acron Introduces Mobile Patrol for Instrumentation and Control

Veliky Novgorod-based Acron has completed another stage of its project to develop a mobile patrol system for the instrumentation and control service ‘I&C Mobile Patrol’ to ensure time-efficient monitoring of production equipment.

‘I&C Mobile Patrol’ was developed by Acron’s IT specialists in cooperation with the Leading Engineering School (LES) of Novgorod University. The project is part of an integration solution for the development of corporate systems and is among top IT projects of Acron Group.

The system is designed to expedite and facilitate day-to-day equipment maintenance work of I&C repair personnel. The solution provides automated transfer of collected data, its storage and processing in a unified system, and time-efficient control and analysis of equipment condition. Acron’s specialists have fully integrated the mobile patrol into the AIS ERP.

Sergey Erofeev, Acron’s chief metrologist of the metrology and automatic process control systems department, said: ‘With the Mobile Patrol, the repair service will be able to make decisions on how to eliminate equipment defects more quickly and efficiently, thus making the operation of process equipment more reliable’.

Sergey Chebotarev, LES headmaster, noted: ‘The development of Mobile Patrol is a good example of cooperation between LES laboratory and our industrial partner Acron. As a result, Acron obtained a finished product, and LES students, who were directly involved in the process, acquired important skills and a unique experience’.

Initially, a mobile solution for time-efficient equipment monitoring was implemented in 2020 at the Group’s ammonia facilities – Acron in Veliky Novgorod and Dorogobuzh in Smolensk region.
