Acron’s Carbon Dioxide Operations Pass FSSC 22000 Audit

Acron (Veliky Novgorod) has passed an independent scheduled audit of its carbon dioxide operations for compliance with the international standard FSSC 22000 version 5.1.

The audit conducted by Alfa Group Plus, an official representative of the international certification body QSCert, confirmed the high level of training and competence of the Company’s employees.

The audit focused on the industrial safety of carbon dioxide operations and its application in the food processing. It also reviewed the competence of personnel, emergency preparedness, and appropriate control of food liquid carbon dioxide production.

Acron’s Senior Deputy Executive Director and Chief Engineer, Mikhail Yaskevich, noted that the Company remains the largest carbon dioxide supplier in Northwest Russian. ‘Acron has repeatedly passed the audit for compliance with FSSC 22000 standard, confirming the highest level of competence of its carbon dioxide personnel’.

Carbon dioxide (carbonic anhydride, carbon dioxide, C02) is a non-toxic, odourless, colourless, sour-tasting, explosion- and fire-proof substance. Carbon dioxide has wide practical applications in agriculture, medicine, pharmaceuticals, metallurgy, electronics, and food industry.
