Doctor of technical sciences, professor, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Sciences, full member of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences and the Russian Engineering Academy, Vladimir Sister devoted his life to chemistry. He participated in the development of new advanced technologies in the chemical industry and was awarded a number of high state honours, including the Order of Friendship and the Order of Honour.
