Acron Licenced to Produce Medical Oxygen

Acron Group is now licensed by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade to produce liquid and gaseous oxygen for medical use at its facility in Veliky Novgorod. The facility previously produced only industrial-grade oxygen. Medical oxygen will be manufactured at the facility’s methanol, formalin, and urea resins division.

Acron’s senior deputy executive director and chief engineer, Mikhail Yaskevich, explained that the move into medical oxygen was motivated by a desire to assist the healthcare industry during the COVID-19 pandemic. ‘Expanding our product portfolio to include liquid medical oxygen is an important step in Acron Group’s ESG strategy. Pandemic-related demand for liquid oxygen is unfortunately still quite high at hospitals. Once our official registration is complete, Acron will start supplying medical oxygen to its customers’, he said.
