Veliky Novgorod-based Acron donated over RUB 2 million to the 30th anniversary Christmas Gift Charity Marathon for single-parent families and expectant mothers in need.
RUB 1.1 million of that total were distributed to needy families, single parents, and large families. Altogether, 59 Novgorod families received aid. RUB 390,000 were allocated to institutions supporting the disabled, large families, and families with disabled children. The Company also transferred RUB 200,000 to the Save Life Social Support Foundation. Acron’s trade union donated New Year gifts worth more than RUB 320,000 to social institutions and Sunday schools in the Novgorod Eparchy. An additional RUB 50,000 were contributed to the Marathon fund.
Beneficiaries of Acron's aid included the Zhuravlik nursery school, the Novgorod regional centre for large families, the Derevyanitsy residential school, and the Rodnichok community health centre.
As in previous years, employees at Acron’s subsidiaries joined in the event: Aсron Engineering supported the Centre for Social Assistance to Families and Children, and Acron Hotel fulfilled the holiday wish of a large family with a disabled child that the hotel team has been supporting for 15 years.
‘Acron has been participating in the Christmas Marathon for many years’, said Acron’s deputy executive director for human resources and social relations, Andrey Pestov. ‘This is the second year in a row that the Company donated over RUB 2 million to the Marathon. Acron also allocates significant funds to other charitable initiatives, including approximately RUB 80 million in 2021’.
