Veliky Novgorod-based Acron donated over RUB 2 million to the 29th annual Christmas Gift Charity Marathon for the families of children with special needs.
Of that total, RUB 960,000 were distributed as targeted financial aid to needy families. RUB 560,000 were allocated to institutions supporting the disabled, large families, and families with disabled children. The Company also transferred RUB 180,000 to the Save Life Social Support Foundation and donated 200 New Year gifts worth more than RUB 300,000 to social institutions.
Beneficiaries of Acron's aid included the Novgorod branch of the All-Russia Association of the Blind, the Rodnichok Community Health Centre, and the Novgorod Regional Centre for Large Families. Acron also invested in improving the infrastructure at Zhuravlik and Rodnichok nursery schools.
As in previous years, employees from Acron’s production shops and subsidiaries joined the event: Research and Design Centre Aсron Engineering supported the Centre for Social Assistance to Families and Children, Acron Hotel supported a large family with disabled children, and the mechanical repairs team provided assistance to the Derevyanitsy residential school.
‘Participating in the Christmas marathon has become a venerable tradition for the Company and its employees”, said Acron’s deputy executive director for human resources and social relations, Andrey Pestov. ‘Acron also allocates significant funds to other charitable initiatives, including RUB 147 million in 2020’.
