Acron took the bronze medal at the Graduate Awards-2020, the fifth national contest for projects that benefit graduates and young specialists. The Group presented a project called Our Hope that aims at enhancing the popularity of chemical industry professions among local students. The project was submitted to the category Contribution to Future.
Career guidance for school students is an essential component of Acron Group’s solid professional training system. For years, the Veliky-Novgorod-based company has been providing stewardship for two schools teaching vocational subjects. In 2018, jointly with the city education committee, it established a grant called “Together with Acron to Success in Learning and Career” for chemistry and physics teachers at all the city’s schools. In the past two years, 12 teachers received grants totalling RUB 1.4 billion.
As part of the project, Acron and the Veliky Novgorod education committee also sponsor academic competitions in chemistry, physics, mathematics and computer science. In 2019, over 20 bright students were recognised.
For reference, under the 2019 Cooperation Agreement with the Veliky Novgorod city administration, Acron allocated RUB 13 million to fund repairs and purchases of furniture and modern equipment for chemistry classrooms at seven local secondary schools.
