Acron Group shipped its first batch of mineral fertilisers to China through the Northeast Passage (NEP). The Group is the first company in the world to deliver fertilisers through the NEP. Acron shipped 23,000 tonnes of its products to China using this new route.
Acron Vice President Overseas Dmitry Khabrat commented, “It is our first shipment through the Northeast Passage. This new sales route will reduce transportation costs and open new opportunities for delivering our products to Asia Pacific, by significantly shortening the freight transit time”.
China is the world’s largest consumer of mineral fertilisers. Acron Group sells mineral fertilisers in China through its own distribution network, Beijing Yong Sheng Feng. The Group also owns and operates logistics infrastructure comprising three Baltic seaport terminals.
