Stage 2 of Beneficiation Plant Construction Underway

North-Western Phosphorous Company AO installs improved aspiration system as part of stage 2 construction of the beneficiation plant

NWPC is continuing with assembly of an improved Folter dust collecting system at the second and fine crushing facilities as part of stage 2 construction of the beneficiation plant. The new system will enhance the performance of beneficiation equipment and will help create favourable working conditions.

The combined dust collecting system, designed by Novgorodsky GIAP, comprises dry (70% maximum efficiency) and wet (98-99% maximum efficiency) dust control methods.

The system is based on a vertical collector that equally distributes the air flow, moving at 16-18 mps, over all air ducts and vents. A fan unit provides the capacity required for peak performance of the CN-15 cyclone and the PVM40SA wet dust collector. NWPC has already assembled chimneys and some of the air ducts and has begun installation of the CN 15-900up cyclone. The aspiration system for the transshipment terminals only requires automation and connection to the main circuit to become operational.

The new dust collecting system will be commissioned in Q3 2016. By the end of 2016, NWPC will receive dust extraction equipment for installation at semi-bunker storage for stage 2 construction.
