Acron Announces H2 2010 Fertiliser Price Cap for Russian Farmers Ahead of Schedule

The companies of the Acron Group have set a price cap for their mineral fertiliser sales to Russian farmers for H2 2010 ahead of schedule. The price caps comply with the Cooperation Agreement signed between the Russian Fertiliser Producers Association and the Russian Agro-Industrial Association aimed at meeting domestic farmers’ demand for mineral fertilisers in 2008-2012.

In H2, the price cap for all types of fertilisers will remain at the H1 2010 level. NPK 16:16:16 will be RUB 10,200 per tonne. The price cap for ammonium nitrate will be RUB 5,570 per tonne and urea will be RUB 8,470 per tonne. These prices are VAT exclusive for bulk cargo, FCA production facility.

Because it has signed contracts for apatite concentrate and potassium chloride supplies, the Acron Group ensures the lowest possible prices for Russian farmers. The active participation of specialised agencies in determining fair prices for key raw materials made it possible to maintain the current prices. The Group emphasizes that it has not raised its domestic prices on compound fertilisers for two consecutive years.
