Acron Invests RUB 144 Million in Renovation and Equipment of Veliky Novgorod Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital

Acron’s management visited Veliky Novgorod to review the progress of the project to renovate and equip the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital. At the medical facility, Acron Vice President for Corporate Development and Business Sustainability Vladimir Kantor met with Governor of Novgorod region Andrey Nikitin.

Over the past three years, the Company has spent RUB 144 million to overhaul the fourth medical ward and surgical and otorhinolaryngology wards, purchase an MRI scanner, install two new lifts, landscape the surrounding area, fit out a car park, and furnish access roads to the reception area, emergency room, and central entrance. This year, Acron plans to renovate the children’s oncology and haematology ward and the children’s rehabilitation ward.

Vladimir Kantor said, ‘As a major employer in Novgorod region, Acron is committed to supporting its employees and their families, as well as all the residents of the region. The project to renovate the Regional Children’s Clinical Hospital was initiated and actively promoted by Andrey Nikitin, Governor of Novgorod region. We see the health and wellbeing of children as a crucial investment in the future’.

The Hospital has 12 inpatient wards with 385 beds and provides high-quality inpatient care to approximately 10,000 patients under the age of 18 each year. The annual number of various surgeries exceeds 2,300. Over 12,000 children visit the consulting outpatient clinic each year.

In 2023, the Company installed additional medical equipment at the Mishekurin Clinical Perinatal Centre and landscaped its surrounding area.
