Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) awarded the winners of Academic Success and Careers at Dorogobuzh, a contest for school teachers in Dorogobuzh district.
The event aims to recognise effective teaching methods, build up infrastructure in general education institutions, and foster career guidance for school students.
In 2023, 11 Russian and foreign language teachers entered the contest. The cash award was RUB 880,000, up RUB 160,000 year-on-year.
Tatiana Rumyantseva, a teacher at Verkhnedneprovsky secondary school No. 3, was named the winner and awarded a certificate worth RUB 300,000. The second and third prizes and cash awards of RUB 240,000 and RUB 180,000 were presented to Evgeny Priyma from Dorogobuzh secondary school No. 2 and Maria Ivanenkova from Verkhnedneprovsky school No. 3.
Thirty-five per cent of the prize money is the winner’s personal reward for teaching achievements, 15% is used to improve the winner’s professional skills or purchase classroom equipment and teaching materials, and 50% is allocated to improve infrastructure, equipment, and teaching and learning resources at the schools where the contest winners work.
Non-winners received RUB 20,000, as well as participation certificates and diplomas from Dmitry Ivanov, deputy executive director for personnel and general matters at Dorogobuzh.
Konstantin Serenkov, head of the Dorogobuzh district administration, thanked Dorogobuzh, the district’s major taxpayer, for addressing pressing educational matters. ‘We are grateful to the Company’s CEO Vladimir Kunitsky and other management members for guiding students and helping them choose in-demand professions, so that they could stay in Dorogobuzh district and work for one of the leading companies in the region’.
The Academic Success and Careers at Dorogobuzh contest was first held in 2020. Over the past four years, best teachers in Dorogobuzh district have received over RUB 3 million from the Company in recognition of their hard and important work.
