The bulk of that total – RUB1.27 million – was distributed as targeted financial aid to 82 needy families in Veliky Novgorod.
The Company transferred over RUB400,000 to the Novgorod Regional Centre for Large Families and the Rodnichok Community Health Centre and RUB200,000 to the Save Life Foundation. The Mother of God church used Acron’s aid to buy gift sets for children and the elderly. Acron’s trade union donated gifts worth over RUB400,000 to social centres and religious institutions in Veliky Novgorod.
Acron’s deputy executive director for human resources and social matters Andrey Pestov called the Marathon one of the most wonderful traditions flourishing in Novgorod region. ‘Acron joined the campaign many years ago and will continue to support it, since social partnership has long been the Company’s consistent priority’.
Over the past five years, Acron has donated more than RUB8 million to the Christmas Gift Charity Marathon, which is just one of the Company’s many charitable causes.
