Acron Group to Sell Cutting-Edge Mineral Fertilisers to Russian Growers at Discount

Acron Group will provide additional support to Russian farmers during autumn sowing.

The Group will discount its top-of-the line environmentally friendly NPKs for Russian growers during autumn sowing. Farmers and vegetable producers will be able to buy the popular brands at a 5% discount through 31 October 2021. Growers in regions where a state of emergency has been declared due to natural disasters or climatic disturbances (wildfires, droughts, floods) will receive an additional 5% discount.

Alexander Popov, Chairman of Acron’s Board of Directors, explained that the discount is part of a larger strategy. ‘We cooperate with Russian agricultural producers in many ways and understand their needs. That’s why we decided to provide additional support during autumn sowing. In July, Acron announced a freeze on prices for the mineral fertilisers produced by the Group through the end of October 2021. With our new initiative, Russian farmers can purchase Acron’s complex fertilisers at a discounted price, which will enable them to predict costs and enjoy an advantage over agricultural producers from other countries’.

Between October 2020 and May 2021, Acron Group supplied the domestic market with over 930,000 tonnes of mineral fertilisers for the 2021 spring sowing season, up 27.2% from the same period in 2019 and 2020. In 2020, Acron Group shipped a total of 1.4 million tonnes of mineral fertilisers to the domestic market, up 93% year-on-year.

Acron owns the Agronova distribution network, established in 2005 and comprising ten specialised agrochemical facilities that have direct access to customers from Russia’s largest agricultural regions. With a total warehouse capacity of 189,000 tonnes, Agronova’s units handle transportation, sales, and storage of mineral fertilisers.
