Acron Continues to Increase Domestic Mineral Fertiliser Sales

Acron Group continues to increase sales of its products to local agricultural producers. In the 2021 sowing season, the Group sold more than 500,000 tonnes of mineral fertilisers to local farmers, posting a 50% jump in AN sales and 30% higher NPK sales year-on-year.

These 2021 increases are even more significant in context: 2020 was a record-setting year, when Acron Group almost doubled domestic sales of mineral fertilisers to 1.4 million tonnes per annum.

As a leader on the Russian market, Acron Group guarantees supplies of high-quality mineral fertilisers to domestic farmers on favourable terms as part of its commitment to progress in the domestic agribusiness industry. During the 2021 sowing season, Acron offered local growers discounts of 20-30% off global prices, a significant move at a time when inflation was at 39%, prices for natural gas were up 13.5% from 2015, railway tariffs were up 25.2%, and electricity tariffs had increased 45.2% (RosStat data).

For many years, Acron Group has cooperated closely with regional agricultural authorities throughout the country, using these relationships to ensure timely and uninterrupted mineral fertiliser supplies to fully meet the needs of Russian growers.

One of the Company’s key priorities is charity programmes to support domestic farmers. For more than 20 years, the Company has annually provided farmers in Smolensk region with mineral fertilisers free of charge. Last year, Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) donated NPK and AN for RUB 20 million to Smolensk farmers.

We are confident that Acron Group's domestic activities will contribute to the further development of the Russian agribusiness industry and the prosperity of local growers.
