Acron Begins Major Overhauls at its Key Production Facilities

Acron Group has begun major overhauls at its Veliky Novgorod site. This cycle of upgrades covers the ammonia, urea, ammonium nitrate, and nitric acid production facilities.

‘In addition to planned overhauls, Acron is currently upgrading the Ammonia-4 unit to ramp up its capacity to 2,500 tonnes per day,’ said Acron Deputy Chief Engineer Anatoly Zhukov. Plans for the Ammonia-4 unit include modifying several sections and commissioning brand new processing and compressing equipment. The overhauls also include upgrading units 1-4 of the urea plant to reach 2,000 tonnes per day. All of these steps will ensure safe, reliable, and energy-efficient production, help increase output, and improve product quality.

In addition to repairs and upgrades to its key facilities, Acron is working hard to comply with all safety requirements. Training sessions are regularly held to prevent accidents and emergencies.

Today, on 23 September, scheduled training events were held at the ammonia shipment site to simulate an ammonia spill emergency. The ammonia production team and special services team completed all the tasks for the exercise. All Acron divisions are operating normally.
