Dorogobuzh Introduces Mobile Patrol

Acron Group has adopted a mobile solution for real-time equipment monitoring at its ammonia operations in Dorogobuzh, Smolensk region.

The mobile app for repair and maintenance workers helps rapidly collect, store, and process data obtained from equipment walkdowns and repairs. The solution automates the transmission, storage, and processing of collected data in an integrated system and monitors and analyses current equipment status.

NFC tags on equipment reduce walkdown time and increase data accuracy. Currently, nearly 60 workers run the app, most of them using Zebra equipment. The app operates both online and offline.

Head of Acron’s IT Department Denis Guzanov expects the solution to optimise labour costs and improve control. ‘Mobile Patrol has proven to be effective at the ammonia operations in Veliky Novgorod. That is why the decision to use it on a wider scale was a reasonable next step for the digital transformation strategy at Acron Group’s production facilities.’

According to Dorogobuzh chief engineer Roman Dmitriev, the solution will improve the efficiency of operational personnel and help early detect equipment issues.

The app was jointly developed by Acron’s IT experts and Fingers Media. The pilot project for ammonia operations in Veliky Novgorod was implemented earlier this year.
