Acron Expands Its Charitable Giving

On 1 November 2019, Chairman of Acron’s Board of Directors Alexander Popov, Governor of Novgorod region Andrey Nikitin, Mayor of Veliky Novgorod Sergey Busurin, and the heads of several regional departments visited a number of social institutions in Veliky Novgorod, including the Clinical Hospital for War Veterans, where a modern geriatric centre is being created with Acron’s support.

A geriatric rehabilitation system is being developed in Novgorod region using funds contributed by Dr Viatcheslav Kantor, Chairman of Acron’s Coordinating Board. The project will include a rehabilitation centre in Veliky Novgorod and primary care facilities in three district centres (Staraya Russa, Borovichi and Pestovo). Novgorod region governor Andrey Nikitin has expressed support for the project.

The project includes redesigning an existing facility using lean culture technologies and providing improved accessibility for people with reduced mobility, bringing utilities up to code, repairing the building’s facade, and landscaping around it. The project will also install diagnostic, medical, and rehabilitation equipment. Over 16,000 patients will be able to get health screening and medical treatment each year.

Acron officers and local leaders also discussed support for medical and social institutions in Novgorod region and the possibility of expanding Acron’s charitable assistance.

Acron Group invests in local infrastructure in Novgorod region with social and charitable programmes that support public organisations and social institutions. Over the past ten years, Acron has allocated more than RUB 700 million to the city’s social infrastructure through its annual social and economic cooperation agreements with the Veliky Novgorod Administration.
