Acron Invests RUB 664 million in Whole Employee Programmes

In 2018, Acron Group more than doubled its spending on programmes that target employee development, motivation, and social support. RUB 664 million was spent on these programmes, up from about RUB 300 million in 2017.

The Whole Employee philosophy is a key part of Acron Group’s sustainable development. It includes preventative health, medical services, and insurance; professional training and development; sports and healthy lifestyles; engagement and retention of highly skilled employees; cooperation with educational institutions; and goal-oriented social programmes.

Each Acron Group production facility has a collective agreement with employees that includes an extended package of social benefits and guarantees and is aimed at improving the quality of life for employees and their families. The social package includes voluntary health insurance. Acron Group provides employees and their children with the opportunity to receive treatment at health resorts and recreation camps on discounted terms and pays for the cost of attending recreation camps.

The Group’s facilities run support programmes for long-time employees and young specialists. In 2018, more than RUB 23 million were allocated to the housing programme for young specialists. Acron Group’s athletic events are popular with employees, with approximately 7,000 employees and their children participating in 2018.

Acron Group’s educational programme is aimed at improving the skills of its specialists and also provides opportunities for secondary students and college and university students. In 2018, over 1,500 employees took advanced training courses. Acron created its mentoring programme as an efficient way to develop young specialists’ professional expertise and accelerate their adaptation.

Chairman of Acron’s Board of Directors Alexander Popov commented: “Our employees are the backbone of the Group’s operations, which is why our human resources policy focuses on improving their effectiveness and increasing their personal interest in the Group’s performance”.

The Group employs more than 10,000 people. Over the past several years, staffing levels have remained stable and met the Group’s needs. The Group benefits from low staff turnover due to positive working conditions, an attractive social benefits package and social activities for employees. The turnover rate decreases each year, falling to 9% in 2018. The average monthly salary at the Group's facilities is higher than both the average for Russia’s chemical industry and the average across all professions in the Group’s footprint regions.
