Acron Group and Moscow Region’s Ministry of Agriculture Sign Cooperation Agreement

Acron Group and Moscow region’s Ministry of Agriculture and Food have signed a cooperation agreement so that the parties can consult and exchange information on fertilisers and agrochemical services. Regional Agriculture Minister Andrey Razin and Acron Vice President for Domestic Business and Agricultural Projects Alexander Lebedev signed the document.

Under the agreement, Acron Group plans to expand its portfolio of fertilisers that are appropriate for application by growers in Moscow region. Acron will provide guidance and training for regional producers and cooperate with local specialised research institutions to improve agricultural technology.

Chairman of Acron’s Board of Directors Alexander Popov commented: “The Russian market is a priority market for Acron Group. In the past year, we increased fertiliser supply to the domestic market by almost 50% to 900,000 tonnes. In Moscow region, we provide up to 40% of the entire market of highly efficient fertilisers and hope that the new agreement will encourage further expansion of cooperation with local agricultural producers and development of regional agriculture”.

Acron owns the Agronova distribution network, established in 2005, which comprises 11 specialised agrochemical facilities that ensure direct access to customers in Russia’s major growing regions. Agronova’s subdivisions handle transportation, storage, and sales of fertilisers, with a total warehouse capacity of 189,000 tonnes.
