Acron and Veliky Novgorod Administration Sign Social and Economic Cooperation Agreement

On 7 June 2019, during the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF 2019), Acron and the Veliky Novgorod administration executed a Social and Economic Cooperation Agreement. It was signed by Mayor of Veliky Novgorod Sergey Busurin and Chairman of Acron’s Board of Directors Alexander Popov.

According to the agreement, the Company will allocate approximately RUB 30 million to address social issues in Veliky Novgorod in 2019. The city and its primary taxpayer have had similar agreements for over a decade.

This year, the funds will be allocated to buy special machinery, support cultural and sporting events, and repair and purchase equipment for chemistry classrooms in seven secondary schools in Veliky Novgorod.

Mayor Busurin noted, “It is symbolic that we signed this agreement on the day that Veliky Novgorod is celebrating 1,160 years since its first appearance in a historical chronicle. Recently, Russian President Vladimir Putin called Veliky Novgorod the “ancient capital of Russia”. It is important that we do everything we can to live up to our significance for the country, which would not be possible without the support of local business and the community. In this context, signing the agreement with Acron is the best example of cooperation between the city and the Company”.
