Minister Manturov stressed the project’s importance to the region: “The development of the potassium-magnesium salt deposit and construction of a state-of-the-art mining and processing facility is very important for both the industry and the region. The contract will contain special measures to promote the Company’s activities in the industry on stable and fixed conditions and will help create new jobs”.

Perm Krai Governor Reshetnikov pointed out that “VPC’s new production facility is an export-oriented project that will deliver its first product as soon as 2023. This is especially important for Perm Krai, as we expect investors to create new, well-paying jobs.”

The mine is expected to create over 2,000 jobs and reach design capacity in early 2026.
