Nordic Rus Holding was founded in September 1997 by JSC Acron (which holds a 51 percent share in the registered capital) and Norsk Hydro (Norway), represented by its subsidiary Hydro Agri Russland AS (with a 49 percent share in the registered capital).

As an investment company, Nordic Rus Holding currently owns 11.8% interest in JSC Dorogobuzh (14.28% of ordinary shares) and 7.73% interest in JSC Apatit, the largest domestic apatite concentrate producer (10.3% of ordinary shares).
