Lastochka Summer Healthcare Centre Breaks Attendance Record

Over four sessions from 5 June 2018 to 19 August 2018, the Lastochka summer healthcare centre owned by Dorogobuzh (a member of Acron Group) welcomed 918 children. Children and grandchildren of employees of Dorogobuzh and its subsidiaries accounted for over a third of all visitors. The employees paid approximately 15% of the package price, or RUB 2,800 for a 14-day session and RUB 4,200 for a 21-day session.

Under the government contract signed with the Smolensk Region Social Development Department to provide summer recreation and improve children’s health, 560 children from nearly all districts of Smolensk region attended Dorogobuzh’s healthcare centre. Prior to the 2018 summer season, the Company made capital improvements to the bedroom building No.1, the chess club, the dance hall, the bulk stock warehouse and the building No.7.

Traditionally, each session at Lastochka is dedicated to a particular theme. The first session focused on celebrating 2018 as the Year of Volunteers in Russia. The second session was held in the children’s favourite format featuring the Magical Calendar, to mark notable dates and holidays falling within that period.

The third session offered two programmes: to remember heroes of the Great Patriotic War from Smolensk region, and to foster patriotic education. The last session this summer focused on sports and children’s favourite outdoor games. Improved health is one the main performance index for the Lastochka centre. This summer, it reached 95.5% (2017: 95.1%), which is higher than the average for Smolensk region.
