North Atlantic Potash Inc

In 2008, Acron’s subsidiary North Atlantic Potash Inc. (NAP)* acquired permits for exploration of potash salt deposits in the Province of Saskatchewan, Canada. Later, part of these permits was sold. Currently, North Atlantic Potash Inc. holds eleven permits for exploration of the Prairie Evaporite potash deposit, which form three projects.

Prior to May 2011, the company’s name was 101109718 Saskatchewan Ltd.

Can Pacific Potash Inc. (Albany Project)

In 2014, NAP and Rio Tinto Potash Management Inc established a joint venture company, Can Pacific Potash Inc. (formerly the Albany Project), which holds eight permits in Southern Saskatchewan.
An extensive exploration drilling and 3D seismic programme was completed in 2013 for one of the areas – KP 405 – and a NI 43-101 Resource Report was issued. The study defined inferred resources of 1.4 billion tonnes of potash salts with an average grade of 31% KCl. The downhole temperature of 63º C, which is a vital factor for solution mining, is one of the highest in Saskatchewan. The recoverable resources of KP 405 are estimated at 329 million tonnes of KCl, which could support a 3 million tonne operation for over 100 years.
Further studies that began in 4th Quarter of 2015 to evaluate the economic feasibility of the World Class KP 405 resources will continue through 2016.

Foam Lake Project

Two permits in the north of the province. The NI 43-101 compliant Resource Report issued at the end of 2012 confirmed the resources (indicated and inferred) of 942 million tonnes at the depth of 1,000-1,100 meters at 19% K2O (30% KCL) in average. Recoverable KCl tonnage is estimated at 89 mn t.

Stockholm Project

Permit KP 421. An exploration well that was drilled on this holding, showed that its potash ore has a grade of 34 -45 % KCl. KP 421 borders Mosaic Esterhazy’s operation.
